18th century stone farmhouse that has been lovingly renovated to create a relaxing haven, with old fashioned charm,
and modern luxury, and comfortably sleeps 8 people.

Church Farm House is situated in a quiet position on the edge of the common in the picturesque farming village of Goathland, in
the heart of the North Yorkshire National Park. This spacious, well equipped, and tastefully furnished accommodation, is a
haven of peace and tranquility at any time of the year.

The village of Goathland, with its sprawling common and free roaming sheep, is often better known as "Aidensfield" in the YTV
drama series "Heartbeat". The cottage benefits from an excellent range of dining facilities, tea rooms, everyday shopping and interesting gift shops, all within easy walking distance. The Mallyan Spout Hotel, with it's recently refurbished restaurant
and bar, is just 200 metres from Church Farm.

There are countless footpaths accross the moors for walkers of every calibre, and Goathland also has it's own railway station on
the North Yorkshire Moors Railway line, where steam trains run most days of the year, and up to one per hour in peak times.
Goathland station has been used many times in the filming of "Heartbeat", but was also the stting for "Hogsmeade" station
in the Harry Potter movies. You can board a steam train in Goathland, which then wends it's way through the spectacular
scenery of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, connecting Whitby and Pickering.

The vibrant fishing port of Whitby with it's Captain Cook and Dracula connections, quaint cobbled streets and colourful marina is
just a few miles away. The heritage coastline that is dotted with small villages and dramatic jurassic cliffs is just a short drive
away. Take a walk on the unspoilt sandy beaches, stroll along the pretty coastal paths, or siimply relax amongst the
stunning scenery of this truly lovely part of North Yorkshire.
